Oshido stone hill|Mystery power spot of ancient cultural ruins/Kurokawa

Oshidoishi Hill is located at an altitude of 845 meters in Minami-Oguni Town, Aso County, Kumamoto Prefecture. It is also famous as a location for the live-action movie “Shingeki no Kyojin. There are nine sets of artificially arranged megaliths on this hill, and it has been certified by UNESCO Rock Art Society and other organizations as a prehistoric megalithic cultural site.

Each stone has its own meaning, such as the “scissors stone” which is said to have been used as a sundial in ancient times, the “mirror stone” with ancient Sumerian inscriptions, and the “megalithic stone” in the shape of a pyramid. In addition, each stone on the hill has a magnetic force that can disrupt the needle of a magnet.

Mazeno Valley

The headwaters of the Chikugo River, where the contrast between the clear water flowing down the large rock face and the lush broad-leaved trees growing on both banks of the river is vivid. It is known as the “Secret Valley” because no one is allowed to enter except for a few days twice a year in spring and fall when it is open to the public. You can enjoy the breathtaking view of untouched nature.

You can enjoy this natural canyon throughout the four seasons, with the sun shining through the trees on the surface of the water, amidst the clear stream that washes over the rock surface and the lush broad-leaved trees.

Kurokawa Onsen

In a quiet mountainous area of Kyushu, there is a hot spring resort with 24 cozy Japanese style inns. That is Kurokawa Onsen. With no flashy signboards or entertainment facilities, Kurokawa Onsen is aptly described as a “quiet hot spring. Many travelers come to Kurokawa Onsen to seek healing.

Kurokawa Onsen is a hot spring resort that I would like to visit at least once. It is a small hot spring resort located in the mountains, where you can enjoy the nostalgic and relieving countryside scenery and abundant hot springs.
